  • Volvo Trucks launches India’s first Road Train solution; optimized for high-efficiency and high-volume logistics industry.

  • The European consumer test organization Euro NCAP has for the first time ever assessed the safety of heavy-duty trucks. Volvos’ best-selling models, the Volvo FH and the Volvo FM, both received the top rating of five stars. The Volvo FM also had the best overall test result among all tested trucks.

    Volvo to launch hydrogen-powered trucks

    Volvo Trucks is developing trucks with combustion engines that run on hydrogen. On-road tests with trucks using hydrogen in combustion engines will begin in 2026, and the commercial launch is planned towards the end of this decade. Trucks that run on green hydrogen provide a significant step to Volvo achieving its net zero goal and supporting customers to reach their decarbonization targets.

  • Volvo Trucks India has delivered 20 Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) powered FM 420 4X2 tractors to M/s Delhivery. These tractor trailer solutions will run alongside Delhivery’s extensive fleet of Volvo diesel powered trucks operating in Express cargo and B2B logistics sectors with route lengths of 1000 km.

    Volvo launches more electric trucks

    Volvo Trucks continues to expand its range with the launch of several new electric trucks, making it possible to electrify even more transport routes in cities and regions. This latest addition of rigid* trucks further strengthens Volvo’s position as a leader in electric truck transport.

  • As the world’s first truck manufacturer to do so, Volvo has begun using fossil-free steel in its trucks. The first electric trucks with fossil-free steel are now being delivered to customers.

  • Volvo Trucks are running tests of fuel cell electric trucks that only emit water vapour and have an operational range comparable to diesel trucks, up to 1,000 km. A second pilot phase is to follow in a few years’ time and will see customer tests on public roads.

  • Volvo Trucks unveiled a completely new, fully electric rear axle at the IAA transport show in Hannover, Germany. Freeing up space for more batteries, the new e-axle means even longer range for Volvo’s battery electric trucks.
