Volvo FM gas-powered

The Volvo FM gas-powered is a truck for regional- and long-haul transport with high performance and a reduced CO2 footprint. Operate on bio-LNG and HVO, and you can cover long routes with a high payload: all carbon neutral, calculated tank to wheel.

A smaller CO2 footprint

The Volvo FM gas-powered offers the same performance and productivity as a Volvo FM fueled with diesel, but with the option of carbon neutral operation. The truck makes a perfect match for long-haul transports with 420 hp power rating and up to 2100 Nm of torque.

Powerful engine

The Volvo FM gas-powered engine is based on the diesel engine technology and offers notably higher torque, output and efficiency than other gas engine alternatives. It makes a perfect match for demanding long-haul transports with high combination weights.

Reduced CO2 footprint

The engine uses LNG (natural gas), but also a small amount of renewable diesel fuel. It also uses AdBlue for the exhaust aftertreatment. This powertrain offers a potential to reduce your CO2 footprint by up to 100%, calculated tank to wheel, when using bio-LNG and HVO.

LNG capacity for your routes

An operating range of up to 1000 km is possible. You can get a truck that's great for long routes with long distances between fuel stops.

Efficient transport without compromise

The Volvo FM gas-powered lets you operate in regional-haul and long-haul transport with high combinations and reduce your CO2 emissions by up to 100% when using bio-LNG and HVO. This is calculated tank to wheel and compared to a truck using European standard diesel. There’s no need to compromise on either operating range or productivity.

Up to 55 tonnes

Up to 1000 km range
